Allthough this was our third defeat on the run there were a lot of positives to be taken from the game.Barca started the game with five important squad players missing because of school commitments. This left us with just seven players to choose from. A last minute stand in goalkeeper was found and so we started the game just one player short. The game was an entertaining end to end affair, with both teams coming close in the first half. Half way through the second half Widnes Dragons took the lead with a well taken finish after following up a good save from our stand in goalkeeper Kyle Short. For the rest of the game it was one way traffic and Barca did everything but hit the back of the net. A Ben Meah free kick was cleared off the line,Cameron Challoner came close with great long range effort and George Iddon had a shot saved when it looked destined for the top corner. But as Barca pressed forward for an equaliser Dragons snatched there second goal with virtually the last kick of the game.Considering the circumstances it was a great performance from everyone in a red shirt, but a special mention has to go to Ben Meah for a great man of the match performance playing out of position in centre midfield.
